Must See: ABS-CBN News Posts Wrong Photos of Alleged Duterte Property, Twice

ABS-CBN News featured wrong photos of the alleged properties of Davao City Mayor Rodrigo 'Rody' Duterte, twice in a row. This is after Senator Antonio Trillanes IV revealed to the media a list of alleged Duterte properties and his children. However, two netizens immediately complained that the Kapamilya network posted the wrong photos on their news.

“ABS-CBN News TV Patrol Southern Mindanao: Please do your research correctly. The property that you showed in your newscast is not Duterte's. That is the property of our church. Magtanong-tanong kasi kayo.” Bianca Alejandro wrote on her Facebook page this Wednesday, May 4, as a caption to the photo of the ABS-CBN News report.

According to one commentator, the property belongs to Maranatha Christian Academy in Davao City. The title of the TV Patrol Southern Mindanao news is, “Trillanes: Duterte Children Own 38 Properties, Bank Accounts” which aired this Tuesday, May 3. The links to the YouTube video and to the official ABS-CBN News website have been deleted.

Meanwhile, a certain Shiela P. Francisco also complained about the mistake of ABS-CBN News. This time, a photo of a house was used by ABS-CBN News in their news report titled “Umano'y ari-arian, milyones ng mga anak ni Duterte, isinawalat” (Alleged properties, millions of the children of Duterte, exposed.). This means that the house is among those properties allegedly owns by the Duterte family, as claimed by Trillanes.

“Attention ABS-CBN. This is our house and not Duterte's. I demand that you take this photo down!!! Francisco angrily wrote on Facebook, as a caption to the said photo. We checked her Facebook page, and found out that her post has been deleted. The ABS-CBN News report, which is the Filipino version of the earlier news is also deleted.
This Sunday, Senator Trillanes accused Mayor Duterte of having ill-gotten properties. The vice presidential candidate, who is supporting the presidential bid of Sen. Grace Poe, said Duterte has 40 properties, which includes 34 in Davao City, one in Davao del Norte, two in Dipolog city, Zamboanga del Norte, and two more in Metro Manila.
