The documents of the supposed bank accounts of Davao City Mayor Rody Duterte Bank of the Philippine Islands (BPI) at Julia Vargas Avenue branch in Pasig City that former DILG Secretary Mar Roxas and Senator Antonio Trillanes IV have recently presented to public are not legit. This is according to a top official of Ayala Corporation.

"I don't know where Sen. Trillanes got his information, but the graphic posted by the Inquirer showing alleged credits, that is not a BPI document." Ayala Corporation chief financial officer (CFO) Jose Teodoro Limcaoco was quoted telling to Rappler. He is the managing director of the company, and a former President of BPI Family Savings Bank.

"The deposit slip shown by Mar (Roxas) or the Inquirer is not a unique thing. All banks will show the name of the depositor on a deposit slip." Limcaoco added, referring to the P500-bank deposit slip that the LP standard bearer showed to the media this Thursday, April 27, as his proof that the Duterte BPI bank account really exists.

Earlier this Thursday, Sen. Trillanes also presented to the media a list of the supposed bank deposits to Duterte's BPI account at Julia Vargas branch. He noted that the supposed Duterte's account is a joint account with his daughter Inday Sara Duterte. Later, Mayor Duterte admitted that the said account exists, but under his name only.

However, Duterte categorically denied that it has a P211 million deposit as alleged by Trillianes, saying that it is “a little less than 200 million.” The tough-talking mayor also accepted the senator's challenge to open the controversial BPI account. He even dared Trillanes to be present when his legal counsel, Atty. Salvador Panelo will open it this coming Monday, May 2.
This Friday, Bank of the Philippine Islands (BPI) said on their official Facebook page that the allegations of breach of client confidentiality have been brought to their attention. Nevertheless, the Ayala-led bank noted that there was no breach of client confidentiality on the banks, based on their initial investigation.

  1. That's the disadvantage of bank secrecy for that situation..... The point is, the bank did not deny if the account not really exists as what Duterte admits that there is...

    2. if inside job, then trillanes should file a legal complaint to see if he is really saying the truth. this is politics, every move you make should always have a legal basis, if no legal basis, then its pure black propaganda.

    3. Trillianes is a Senator of the Phil. He knows that Bank Secrecy Law is Sacred.Violation is a Criminal Offence.
OFW remittances, simple man & even bznsmen deposit must be protected by him.
Why is he cuddling with these people.
Senator Trillianes must instead file a Criminal Case against these violators.
Or resign if he refuse... as Senator he is more a violator

  7. When somebody deposits money to your account it normally does not show the name of the depositor. Only the name of the account owner is shown. Seems like Limcauco does not know this? Just reacting to this statement...."The deposit slip shown by Mar (Roxas) or the Inquirer is not a unique thing. All banks will show the name of the depositor on a deposit slip."

  8. The deposit slips prove that the account is held jointly by Rodrigo Roa Duterte and Sara Z Duterte. Another lie from Digong.
