University of the Philippines Los BaƱos (UPLB) student Stephen Villena allegedly received P50,000 from LP presidentiable, Mar Roxas, this is according to a screenshot that is now going viral on Facebook. Villena received a lot of criticisms after he was seen apparently being rude to Davao City Mayor Rodrigo 'Rody' Duterte during the forum inside the UPLB campus this Friday, March 11, 2016.
"Sir, sana pakisagot lang po ng diretso kasi nagtatanong po kami ng diretso dito para po makauwi na kayo." (Sir, I hope you answer questions directly because our questions are also directly, so that you already go home afterwards.) Stephen Villena told Mayor Duterte, as he interrupted the presidential candidate while explaining his answer to the question of the UPLB student during the Q&A portion.
Last Saturday, many netizens especially Duterte supporters got curious about his real identity. A few hours later, a screenshot of a photo went viral on Facebook allegedly showed Stephen Villena with Aika Robredo, the daughter of Congresswoman Leni Robredo, who is also the vice presidentiable of LP. But more than, a screenshot also went viral suggesting that he received money from Mar Roxas.

Looking closely on the screenshot, it appears to be an online receipt revealing that Stephen Villena has an account at coins.ph, and that he received P50.159.99. The money was marked as 'salary from Mar Roxas' and was sent to his residence at Imus, Cavite via M Lhuillier Kwarta Padala. His Facebook and Twitter have been deactivated since the issue, and we cannot confirm if the screenshot is legit or not.

DeletePag hindi makasagot sa tanong, bastos ang nagtanong. Pag gumawa ng kabastusan katulad nito, ok lang. Di ba kayo dapat ang idisiplina dahil napakasama ng ugali nyo? Wala bang balitang kape dyan?

Not a Roxas fan, but a Duterte supporter. But I believe it is already overboard to malign Stephen Villena by creating that bogus money order receipt. First the "alledged" money order was made somewhere in the Middle East as the phone server indicates Etisalat. And as a frequent recipient of money remittances one could not receive one's money order with a general address like, "Imus, Cavite" because a complete address needs to be placed on the money order form. This is just a low blow to a guy who just made a faux pas due to youthful exuberance.
